About MTS Express
A New York courier company run by the people who answer the phone.
Our Story
Patrick Martin started out as a messenger and opened his first courier business in 1976. MTS Express Inc. followed in 1991 and is based on First Avenue in East Harlem.
MTS was one of the first delivery services in the city to use computers to dispatch jobs and produce invoices. That habit of keeping exact records, who signed, when, and for what, is still how every job is run.
How We Work
- We tell you honestly whether a deadline can be met before we take the job.
- We check each order before it goes out and again after it is delivered.
- We take the awkward jobs: short notice, heavy, upstairs, or out of town.
Clients include universities, hospitals, museums and television networks, some of them for more than ten years.
I've worked with MTS for years, and have yet to experience a situation where they don't go above and beyond to make a delivery or pick-up happen. With little notice, Pat and his team accept just about every job, whether in Manhattan, Brooklyn, New Jersey, the Hamptons and beyond.
